There are people out there that believe they don’t have what it takes to make a difference. The trurth is everyone can make a difference in someone else’s life. Everyone can contribute and make a difference to the world in our own unique way.

The following points are ways to make a difference in the world.

  1. Any amount for effort will be better than nothing. “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” – Mother Teresa The size of the contribution isn’t what matters; it’s the fact that you gave it your best effort.
  2. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today. There is no right time to start to make a difference. “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank
  3. To receive, you must first give. Two of the easiest gifts you can give someone are love and compassion. It is important to remember the little things in life. Going out of your way to help a stranger in need shows more about a person than 1,000 words about how you are a good person. You can change the world by helping one person at a time.
  4. Empower others to help. Instead of criticism, send praise and encouragement. By praising and encouraging someone, you’ve help them accomplish their own goals while accomplishing yours (making a difference in the world). “The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own.” – Benjamin Disraeli
  5. Lead the way. A good example has twice the value of good advice. Show someone an example about how you’ve changed the world and they will soon follow your example.
